  • Storing Records Safely

A very important thing to note when collecting vinyl records is to store them correctly. Storing records vertically is necessary to prevent the record from warping over time. Additionally, never store records on top of each other. The weight will destroy the records. Keeping the records stored in a low-humidity environment will also prevent mold from growing on the records.

  • Listening to the Records

What is the point of buying vinyl records if you cannot listen to them! Listening to records is an enjoyable warm feeling. The more high-fidelity setup you have, the more enjoyable it can get! Unfortunately, this hobby is quite pricey. My setup costs around $2,000. Ultimately, even if you have a cheap setup, the mechanics work the same. You put the record on the turntable and you drop the needle onto the grooves. If setup properly, your speakers will bless your ears with wonderful music!

  • Vinyl Record Cleaning

Cleaning your vinyl record before playing it is very important! A dirty record can affect playback and have increased pops and hisses that dilute the sound of the record. Be sure to wash your used records with distilled water and let them dry on a drying rack. Before playing, if you notice any form of dust on the record you can take a zero-static brush to brush the dust off.

Buying used vinyl is the best! Each used record tells a story.

Today, I bought ‘Mercyful Fate – Don’t Break the Oath’! The best heavy metal album of all time!
